Alamo
Alamo The Alamo was established in 1718 as the city's first mission. The chapel is one of the most photographed facades in the nation, and the Long Barracks are all that remain of the original fort.


River Walk
River Walk The River Walk is in the heart of downtown and is the pride of the city. Lush green foliage lines the banks of this peaceful, historic river. Cobblestone walkways lead visitors to the river-level restaurants and shops.


Mission Trails
Mission Trails Explore centuries of the history and culture of San Antonio when you visit the five missions of San Antonio: Mission San Antonio de Valero or more commonly known as the Alamo, Mission Concepción, Mission San José, Mission San Juan Capistrano and Mission San Francisco de la Espada. The San Antonio Mission Trail, which begins at the Alamo, winds southward along a nine-mile stretch of the San Antonio River. Visitors may drive the entire San Antonio Mission Trail or else travel along a hike-and-bike trail.
